Released : June 1995
Personnel
Peter Nuttall - Music/Lyrics/Vocals
Ian Forbes - Lyrics
Written and recorded in 3 days, this EP was quite a diversion from what we’d been writing before and opened a door to a more mature and polished style. More cover versions here and one ill judged one in ‘Every Breath You Take’, even though it was there because of the theme (this was a concept album after all). Each track had a sound bite before them taken from various radio programs (on various stations) broadcast on 12th June 1995. ‘Interlude 3’ was included to make up the number of tracks to 10, even though it was only three notes and 2 seconds long.

Lyrics
Déjà vu, cryptic clue
I’ve done it all before
Broken dream, deathly scream
I love you no more
This time next year we’ll see the change
(I return) broken but never beat
I’m back and I’m stronger
Now I love the people I meet
(Though) that feeling lasts longer
Spoken word, never heard
Said out of fear
Never take subtle break
The words that I can’t hear
This time next year we’ll see the change
This is one game I really mustn’t lose
I lost you but don’t talk of violence
Fall down where? Must I choose?
Close the door, sit in silence
Lyrics – Forbes
Music – Nuttall

Innocent prisoner of my own greed
You gave me a reason to accept
You took the lead, I only followed
Because of love I haven’t slept
This prison has no walls
‘Someone’ set me free
You’re the eye that cannot see itself
It sees through me
In a way I don’t want to be free
My sentence served and you sold me
While other lights shine so pale
Yours is the only I can see
So now the end to a sorry tale
Leave me now, set me free
Read me like a book
The words I can’t tell
The last page, take a look
That’s the future ending well
Another step where, too much stress I don’t need
Time to make a selection
The haunted fear on which I feed

Taste defeat, bitter and useless
Sweeter than the sin you made me eat
You cry without real tears
You lie when you cheat
Inject your lonely poison, using poison needles
I’ll survive without you, of that I’m able
Tortured faces screaming loud
Creeping fears, eventual time
Lie on the shore, Exhausted and cold
The fact remains we must grow old
Rain falls without its cloud
Nothing new of which I’m proud
Shouting lies, calling loud
Your life was the only sound
The central point of life was you
Now I’m running in circles
No direction, need someone new
Someone to make me sparkle
Chorus
I told you that I loved you
I said that I needed you
Now I still love you, but I don’t need you
Lyrics – Forbes

Imagine you’re alone
Silent place
One voice of stone
One tortured face
A lonely place
Cold with fear
A lonely face
One Golden tear
A broken smile
To ease the pain
Steps inside
Alone again
What will I find?
Intruding darkness
Moonlights kind
Gives light in sadness
Shaded haze
Silver moon’s crown
End my lonely days or turn them upside down
Lyrics – Forbes

Take care in love
Watch what you say
A new idea to burn out today
Hurting again easy to do
Old idea nothing new
Success too dear
I’m so sad
Need you here
It’s what I had
New love new life
Start again with someone new
Old love same vice
It’s all I can do
I miss you so
Though you’re still there
Such blind facade
Do I care?
Together our minds become one
But apart, our separate ways
My love for you will soon be gone
Believing what the wise man says
